Renewable Energy projects of the Agency Energy

The Directorate General for Energy of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy has organized

a conference next week on solar and wind power, to be developed in the hall Sa Nostra, in Palma,
, and count with the presence of experts representing the world of energy.

Entitled 'solar and wind energy. One impetus for its implementation in the Balearics' Days aim to

sensitize the government and society on the use and deployment of renewable energy sources in the

autonomous region.

According to the Government in a statement, the main objectives of the meeting will be to

convince the municipalities and Consells Island of the need to include renewables in the energy

planning of the municipalities, to discuss the role they occupy renewables within that planning

and analyse the barriers that exist when it comes to fostering this kind of clean energy.

The conference will take place on 11 and 12 and will have speakers such as Luis Garcia Ortega,

Greenpeace; Ramon Granadinos, Network Electric; Marti Ribas, GESA; Jose Vela and Pitarch,

Director of Renewable Energy projects of the Agency Energy Barcelona, or Àngel Garrot, Ente

Basque of Energy, among others.
